George has been a teacher, principal, and teacher educator for 35 years. He is
a student of learning, and has developed a variety of math models to support students, teachers, and parents for understanding
math concepts. George is committed to educational equity and works with students and teachers to be aware of their thinking through
feelings, images, and languages. He writes with his spouse, Michelle Collay, about professional learning communities and designing
for learning. His children attend public school in their Oakland neighborhood.
