GrAD Director's Fall 2006 Schedule

The College of Engineering has built comprehensive programs for underrepresented engineering students in elementary through graduate school. The Center for Underrepresented Engineering Students (CUES) is nationally recognized as a leader in recruiting and retaining future engineers with individual support tailored to the needs of those missed by programs that serve majority students. CUES offers five specific programs:

Pre-Engineering Partnerships (PEP)
Encouraging K-12 interest in engineering through academic support for math and science

Charles Tunstall Multicultural Engineering Program (MEP)
Support and recruitment of UC engineering students, including prospective high school and community college students.

Julia Morgan Engineering Program (JMEP)
Reaching out to women in graduate school.

Graduate Academic Diversity (GrAD) Program
Encouraging students to continue education towards graduate school.

Summer Undergraduate Program in Engineering Research at Berkeley (SUPERB)
Summer research at UC Berkeley.
